Was a two-time 1st Team All-Northern
League selection… Also named 1st Team
All-City as a senior after picking up 2nd
Team All-City recognition her junior seasons… Batted
.333 as a sophomore and was a 2nd Team
All-League choice… Most memorable moment was when
she pitched her team to a 2-0 win over Chatsworth
High and allowed three hits… Also credits her high
school team defeating Garfield High, 2-1 in a
playoff game her sophomore year and she went 2-for-3
as a memorable moment…
Personal:
Majoring in sports medicine with a minor in business
management… Would like to transfer to USC and study
to be an athletic trainer or own a business… Has two
brothers – Cesar (33), and Hugo (32), who both
played baseball at Roosevelt High and one sister,
Alicia (31), who played softball and was a walk-on
at UC Berkeley… Nicknamed “Grandma”… is the daughter
of Antonia Valencia… Born in Los Angeles, CA on
December 20, 1983…

Hang out in my uniform for a while, take a shower
and talk to my brothers about my game. Oh yeah, and

Coach Murray Because:
Unlike any other coach, Coach Murray sees you as a
student before an athlete. She’s concerned and
determined to see her athletes further themselves to
receive a great education and doesn’t settle when
she sees potential in an athlete.
