Although the Cerritos College
softball team missed the playoffs, they were
rewarded with six of their players earning All-South
Coast Conference recognition. The Falcons finished
the season with a 19-19 marks and came in fourth
place in the conference.
Heading the list was sophomore
pitcher/outfielder
Alex Castillo
(St.
Joseph HS),
who was the lone player to earn 1st Team honors as a
utility player after batting .284 with two home runs
and 15 RBI. While on the mound, Castillo went 12-14
with a 3.15 ERA in 165 2/3 innings of work and
recorded 96 strikeouts. As a freshman, she was named
2nd Team All-SCC and was a 1st Team All-State choice
by JuCal Transfer.com after going 21-6 as a pitcher
and batting .305.

Robledo led the team with a .349 batting average
along with a team-high 10 doubles, 25 RBI, 17
doubles and recorded a .994 fielding percentage. She
was a 1st Team All-SCC and 1st Team All-JuCal
Transfer.com choice in her freshman year. As for
Navarro, she was the team's best power hitter with
seven home runs, while batting .315 with 22 RBI.
Oliden hit .301 on the season with a team-high 12
stolen bases while walking 16 times and scored a
team-high 32 runs to go along with five triples.
Agatep did a solid job at first base after playing
the majority of the season in the outfield. At the
plate, she batted .283 with five doubles, while she
committed just three errors and had a .983 fielding
percentage. Jaime saw time in the outfield when not
pitching and batted .269 with 16 RBI, while she was
5-5 on the mound in 63 innings. |
