After finishing in second place in the South Coast Conference and earning a #4-seed for the Southern California Regional Playoffs, seven members of the Cerritos College softball team were honored by being named 1st Team All-Conference. In addition to the players, which included freshman Jessica Navarro (South Gate HS) being named Pitcher of the Year, Falcon head coach Kodee Murray was named as to Co-Coach of the Year. It marked the second time in her career with Cerritos that Murray earned the award.
In conference action, Navarro was 12-2 as a pitcher with a 1.08 ERA and four shutouts. In the 90.1 innings of work in SCC play, she allowed just 63 hits and struck out 74 batters. She was equally successful at the plate, batting .595 with six home runs and 20 RBI in the 15 conference games. On the year, she is batting a school record .516, while also setting new records in hits (66), runs scored (46), doubles (18), home runs (11) and her 44 RBI are two shy of tying the school record. Her 27 pitching wins on the year are also tied for the school record. In addition to being named Pitcher of the Year, Navarro was also named to the All-State Team.
Garcia batted .283 in SCC action and was rock solid behind the plate, while she is hitting at a .370 clip on the year with four home runs and 16 RBI. As for Guadagno, she recorded a .431 batting average in the 15 SCC games with seven RBI and nine stolen bases, and has maintained a .410 batting average on the year with two home runs (both in the playoffs), 19 RBI and her 24 stolen bases are five shy of tying the school record. Along with being named 1st Team All-SCC, Guadagno was named to the All-Southern Team. Martin Del Campo hit .392 in conference play and clubbed three home runs and seven doubles to go with her 11 RBI, while she has hit nine round-trippers on the year with 30 RBI, 12 doubles and has batted at a .362 clip.
Lomeli batted .313 in conference play and drove in seven runs, while she is batting .323 on the year with 15 doubles and is third on the year with 29 RBI, with Cardona checking in with a .361 conference batting average and six RBI. She is also hitting .333 on the season with nine RBI and has stolen 11-of-13 bases. As for Cox, she hit .267 in the SCC with six RBI, while it swells to .344 on the year and 21 RBI.
