Cerritos (2007):
Joined the team after the conclusion of the
basketball season and saw action in 35 games…
Batted .289 on the year with seven RBI and three
stolen bases… Started in al 11 playoff games and
batted 9-for-28 (.321) with back-two-back
two-hit games… Drove in a season-high two runs
against College of the Canyons…..
Cerritos Women’s Basketball
(2006-07): Appeared in
33 games and averaged 2.6 points and 1.4
rebounds a game… Scored a season-high 13 points,
including three three-pointers against San Jose
City College… Also drained a trio of
three-pointers against Los Angeles Southwest
College and finished with nine points… Had a
season-high five assists in four different games
and a season-high four rebounds twice…..
St. Joseph HS:
Only played basketball in high school… Named her
team’s Best Defensive Player as a sophomore and
junior… Also earned All-Tournament recognition
in her freshman and sophomore seasons… Named the
team’s Most Valuable Player her freshman year..…
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when she was selected
the Most Valuable Player of the inning in a game
against Long Beach City College… Aspires to be a
nurse practitioner… Would like to transfer to
Weber State University… Would also like to own
ever Disney movie ever made and be a
professional snowboarder… Her cousin, Jacoby
Ellsbury, plays for the Boston Red Sox, while
her father played basketball in high school and
her mother is a third degree black belt… Likes
to remember movie lines in her spare time…
Nicknamed “Cec”… Has three siblings – Alexis
(21), Samantha (17) and Manuel (17)… Is the
daughter of Manuel and Tzenni-Bah Garcia… Born
in Downey, CA on October 7, 1988….. |
