Mayfair HS: Played for Coach Kim Monteleone in high school… Was a three-time Scholar-Athlete… Named 1^st Team All-Suburban League as a senior after earning 2^nd Team honors her junior season… Batted over .400 with a .980 fielding percentage her senior season and was named the team’s Best Offensive Hitter… Team came in second place in the league and lost in the first round of the CIF Playoffs… As a sophomore, she was voted her team’s Most Valuable Player, Team Captain, Best Offensive Hitter and Best Defender… Also played on the volleyball team…

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she went 7-for-8 in a doubleheader against Lakewood High her senior year and was also able to play the season with her younger sister, Natalie (16), who also plays basketball at Mayfair High… Would like to transfer to any school that offers a scholarship, but prefers Sonoma State or the University of Hawaii… Is studying to be a kindergarten teacher… Likes to hang out with friends, go to the movies and spend time with her family her spare time… Nicknamed “Dine”… Has two other siblings – Jay (14) and Jacob (5)… Is the daughter of Juan and Elizabeth Garcia… Born in Bellflower, CA on January 15, 1988…..
