Cerritos (2007):
Selected All-Southern California after being
named 1st Team All-South Coast
Conference as a shortstop… Was a catalyst for
the team most of the season and batted .398 on
the year with 10 doubles, 25 RBI, 14 walks and
she hit both of her home runs in the regional
playoffs against Grossmont College… Led the team
with 26 stolen bases, which is the third most in
a season in school history… Only struck out
seven times in 189 plate appearances and had a
.450 on-base percentage… Was crucial to the
team’s success in the state championships, as
she went 8-for-20 (.400) in the final five
games… Broke open a close game against Mt. San
Antonio College in the state championships with
a bases loaded double that drove in three runs…
Had at least one hit in 41 of the team’s 51
games and went hitless in two games in a row
just twice… Had 20 multiple-hit games, which
included six three-hit games… Posted a 15-game
and nine-game hitting streaks… Went 24-for-51
(.471) during the 15-game hitting streak… Tied
her season-high three RBI in a game in a
conference game against Mt. San Antonio College
and against Grossmont College in the regional
playoffs… Only struck out twice in the 11
post-season games…
Warren HS:
Played for Coach Mary Starksen in high school…
Spent three years on both the softball and
basketball teams… As a senior, she helped lead
the softball team to an undefeated San Gabriel
Valley League season and they reached the CIF
championship game… Was named the league’s Most
Valuable Player, while also earning All-CIF and
1st Team All-League recognition…
Selected to the Press Telegram Dream Team
and was selected her school’s Athlete of the
Year… Team also won the league title her junior
year, while she was named 1st Team
All-League… As a sophomore, her team voted her
the Most Improved Batter, while she was selected
2nd Team All-League… Named the MVP of
the junior varsity team as a freshman… While on
the basketball team, she was named 1st
Team All-League and voted the team’s MVP as a
senior… Team voted her their Defensive Player of
the Year as a sophomore, while she was named the
MVP of the freshman team..…
Personal:
Is studying to be a teacher and coach… Has an
aunt who played basketball at UC Irvine… Enjoys
going to the beach, riding dirt bikes,
snowboarding, watching movies, listening to
music and haging out with friends in her spare
time… Nicknamed “J”… Has one brother – Jacob
(16)… Is the daughter of John and Terri Guadagno…
