Cerritos (2007):
Had one of the most amazing seasons in college
history last year… In addition to being named
All-State, she was voted as the South Coast
Conference Pitcher of the Year and was a 1st
Team All-SCC pick… Also earned the Most Valuable
Pitcher at the state championships after
pitching all seven games for the Falcons in
three days… Also led all batters in the state
championships with eight RBI and batted .406…
Set seven batting and three pitching records as
a freshman… Set new single-season records in
hits (78), runs scored (55), doubles (19), home
runs (13), RBI (54) and slugging percentage
(.915)… Her 13 home runs also establish a new
career record… Pitching records included most
wins (34), appearances (46) and innings pitched
(281)… Was 34-7 in the circle with a 1.00 ERA
and 210 strikeouts, which is the third most in
school history… Also pitched 13 shutouts, which
is also the third most in school history…
Collected hits in 41 of the team’s 51 games and
went hitless in two straight games just once on
the year… Had 26 multiple-hit games, including
four in row three different times… Had a
season-high four hits against Pasadena City
College (4-for-4, four RBI) and College of the
Siskiyous (4-for-4, five RBI) in the state
championships… Drove in a season-high six runs
in the regional playoffs against Grossmont
College and hit two home runs in the game… Had
two different 11-game hitting streaks… Went
21-for-37 (.568) in the first one and was
20-for-34 (.588) in the other… When not serving
as the team’s pitcher, she can play either third
base or shortstop… Earned run average hit 1.00
for the first time after the final game of the
season… In the circle, she had a 13-game winning
streak, which included three shutouts… Pitched
the final 20 games of the season for the
Falcons… Had back-to-back shutouts three
different times on the year… Failed to strike
out a batter in only one game and had a
season-high nine punch-outs against East Los
Angeles College… Threw a five-inning no-hitter
against Ventura College and struck out seven…
Went 2-3 against state champion Mt. San Antonio
College…
South Gate HS:
Helped lead her high school team to an
undefeated Eastern League championship… Was a
three-time 1st Team All-League
selection, as well as earning All-City honors as
a junior and senior… Voted her team’s Most
Valuable Player those two seasons… As a
sophomore, she was named the team’s Best
Defensive Hitter… Selected the team’s Rookie of
the Year as a freshman…
Personal:
Would like to transfer to Cal State Northridge,
UCLA or Arizona State… Is the younger sister of
Joanna, who played two years for the Falcons…
Her other sister, Jennifer (11), plays for a
traveling softball team and is the Falcon bat
girl… Is the daughter of George Navarro and
Laura Prado… Born in Compton, CA on April 21,
