Sophomore shortstop Jenel Guadagno (Warren HS) went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, while sophomore second baseman Vanezza Martin Del Campo (St. Joseph HS) drove in four runs, as the Cerritos College softball team recorded an 11-0 five-inning South Coast Conference home win over East Los Angeles College on Tuesday. The win was the 10th in a row for the Falcons (24-1), who will now travel to Riverside College on Thursday for a non-conference game.
Cerritos scored five in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, as sophomore pitcher Jessica Navarro (South Gate HS) pitched the first two innings, with freshman Liz Reveles (Mayfair HS) throwing the final three.
Martin Del Campo had a pair of two-run singles in the win, while Guadagno singled four times, scored three times, drove in a run and stole a base. Navarro also collected three hits, drove in two and scored twice, with sophomore catcher Nadine Garcia (Mayfair HS) driving in two with her two hits. On the day, the Falcons had 15 hits, as sophomore outfielder Cecily Garcia (St. Joseph HS) also had a pair of hits.
