Cerritos Softball (2009): Selected to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA California JC All-American Team… Also named All-State and was a 1^st Team All-South Coast Conference selection… Started all 53 games and batted .390 with 16 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 44 RBI… Was third on the team in hits (62) and fourth in runs scored (48), while she led the team by being hit by 12 pitches… Her numbers placed her in the top 10 with her 44 RBI (8^th), 62 hits (8^th), 16 doubles (3^rd) and 48 runs scored (7^th)… Had a seven-game hitting streak where she went 14-for-23 (.609) with a pair of three-hit games… Had a hit in 37 games on the year, which included 18 multiple-hit games, which includes a 4-for-4 day with three RBI against El Camino and 12 multiple-RBI games… Drove in a season-high five runs against Cypress College, when she went 3-for-4 with a double and home run… Driven in three runs in a game three times… Struck out only 12 times and drew 18 walks… Was a solid defensive player with a .951 fielding percentage…..

Gahr HS: Played for Coach Mike Rogers… Was a three-time 1^st Team All-San Gabriel Valley League selection… Helped the team to two league championships, including an undefeated season her junior year… Also voted 1^st Team All-Area three years in a row… Batted .315 with four home runs, 24 RBI and 21 runs scored as a senior after accounting for three home runs, 16 RBI and 23 runs scored, while batting .386 as a junior… Was a 2^nd Team all-league pick her freshman year after batting .451…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI against Cypress College last season… Also credits winning back-to-back high school league titles… Is working on a double-major with Special Education and aspires to be a special education therapist… Likes to go snowboarding in her spare time… Nicknamed “Boo-Boo Lips”… Has two siblings – Robert (27) and Paul (16)… Is the daughter of Zeke and Patsy Marquez… Born in Bellflower, CA on May 29, 1990…..
