Cerritos Softball (2009):
Named to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA
California JC All-American team… Also named the
Southern California Pitcher of the Year, while
be voted the South Coast Conference Pitcher of
the Year… Also selected to the All-State
Tournament Team after her gutsy performances,
which included an 11-inning outing to eliminate
Cypress College… Went 31-7 record in the circle
with one save and a 1.97 ERA… Started 40 of the
48 games in which she’s appeared, while she has
completed 28 games… Came close to the school
single-season record for most wins (34) and set
the record with her 48 appearances… In 242
innings, she struck out 154 batters, while
hitters finished at a .232 clip on the year… In
addition to setting the appearances record, she
also finished in the top 10 with 31 wins (2nd),
242 innings pitches (4th), 154
strikeouts (4th), 40 games started (3rd),
28 complete games (6th) and eight
shutouts (6th)… Tossed a one-hitter
in her collegiate opener against Santa Barbara
City… Threw complete-game, seven-inning shutouts
against Mt. San Antonio College, College of the
Canyons and East Los Angeles College… Recorded a
season-high 10 strikeouts in the first round of
the playoffs against Ventura College… Collected
a base hit in her only plate appearance of the
season…..
Long Beach Poly HS:
Played for Coach Ken Munger… Spent four years on
the softball team… Was a three-time 1st
Team All-Moore League selection, while she was a
2nd Team all-league pick as a
freshman… Earned 1st Team All-CIF
recognition as a senior and junior, while she
was a 2nd Team pick her sophomore and
freshman years… Helped the team to their
first-ever league championship as a sophomore…
Also spent one season on the cross country
team…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was winning the school’s
first league championship… Aspires to be a head
nurse practitioner… Likes to bake in her spare
time… Has one sibling – Allison (25)… Is the
daughter of Brendan and Ruth Ashley… Born in
Bellflower, CA on July 19, 1990….. |
