NAME: MIKE RODRIGUEZ
ASSISTANT COACH

Entering his first year as an assistant coach under Kodee Murray, Mike “Moke” Rodriguez was a part of the Falcon coaching staff in 1992 under legendary head coach Nancy Kelly. He spent one season on the staff and has also served as an assistant coach at Excelsior High, El Rancho High and seven seasons at Paramount High. While with Paramount High, he helped the team win back-to-back league titles (2003-04), with the first serving as the first ever at the school. They also advanced to the CIF Playoffs all seven years and reached the CIF championship game in 2003.

Rodriguez has also experienced a great deal of success coaching at the recreational level. In 2008, he guided his 10U All-Star team to the ASA Jr. Olympic State Games and received the bronze medal.

An avid softball player himself, Rodriguez has played both fastpitch and slow pitch, and has played on teams that have won world championships, national championships and state championships.

Rodriguez’s wife, Carolyn, was a member of the Falcons from 1992-94, while his step-daughter Jessica played for the Falcons in 2002.
