Entering his first year as an
assistant coach under Kodee Murray, Mike
“Moke” Rodriguez was a part of the Falcon
coaching staff in 1992 under legendary head
coach Nancy Kelly. He spent one season on
the staff and has also served as an
assistant coach at Excelsior High, El Rancho
High and seven seasons at Paramount High.
While with Paramount High, he helped the
team win back-to-back league titles
(2003-04), with the first serving as the
first ever at the school. They also advanced
to the CIF Playoffs all seven years and
reached the CIF championship game in 2003.
Rodriguez has also experienced a great deal
of success coaching at the recreational
level. In 2008, he guided his 10U All-Star
team to the ASA Jr. Olympic State Games and
received the bronze medal.
An avid softball player himself, Rodriguez
has played both fastpitch and slow pitch,
and has played on teams that have won world
championships, national championships and
state championships.
Rodriguez’s wife, Carolyn, was a member of
the Falcons from 1992-94, while his
step-daughter Jessica played for the Falcons
in 2002. |
