After spending two seasons as the co-head coach of the Cerritos College volleyball team, Ali Oliver has recently been named the new head coach at Whittier College. This will be the first head coaching position at the four-year level for Oliver, who helped lead the Falcons to a pair of second place finishes in the South Coast Conference the past two seasons. For the Cerritos College volleyball team, chemistry is starting to play a huge role in their season. The Falcons, competing in the San Diego Mesa Tournament this past weekend, started off strong by sweeping Ventura (25-18, 25-21), San Bernardino Valley (25-19, 25-20) and Grossmont (25-19, 25-11) in pool play. At that point, they were the only team to be undefeated in pool play and were primed to go far in the playoffs.
