La Mirada HS:
Selected the La Mirada High School’s Athlete of
the Year as a senior… Named the Suburban League
Most Valuable Player as a senior and was a
three-time 1st Team all-league
selection… Named 1st Team All-Area
and 2nd Team All-CIF her senior year,
as well as being voted her team’s Most Valuable
Player… Also spent four years on the soccer team
and was a three-time 2nd Team
all-league selection… Voted 2nd Team
All-CIF as a senior, while she helped the team
win the league title as a junior… As a freshman
on the track and field team, she set the school
record in the pole vault…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when she had 14 kills
against Western High in the 1st Round
of the CIF Playoffs her junior year and when she
was named the league’s MVP… Is working on a
minor in art and would like to transfer to
Loyola Marymount University… Aspires to be
either an interior designer or a teacher… Comes
from along line of former Cerritos College
athletes… Her mother played volleyball and
basketball at Cerritos, while her aunts
Jennifer, Katy and Janet all played volleyball
for the Falcons… Her father was also a longtime
equipment manager and videographer for the
college’s athletic programs… Has two brothers –
Pat (21) and Tim (20)… Nicknamed “Jewels”… Born
in Whittier, CA on December 5, 1988….. |
