Cerritos Wins its fourth straight win
against LA Trade-Tech College |

With their 25-14,
25-10, 28-26 South Coast Conference win over Los
Angeles Trade-Tech College on Monday night, the
Cerritos College volleyball team has now won four
straight matches. The Falcons (5-2 overall, 2-0 SCC)
will have their toughest test of the season at home
on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. when they host two-time
defending state champion El Camino College in an SCC
match.
Cerritos jumped
out to early leads in the first two games and never
looked back, while they rested most of their
starters for the third game. Leading the way in the
win were freshman Chanelle Puou
(California HS) and Yawen
Zhan (China), who each had
seven kills, while Zhan added three service aces and
two blocks. In the third game, freshman
Sarah
Rodriguez (Montebello HS)
posted six of her team-high eight kills, while she
also led the team with four service aces and
registered seven digs.
