Cerritos Volleyball (2010):
Was the starting setter and led the team with
364 assists in just 51 games… Came back in the
final match of the season after missing nine
matches due to an injury… Also added 83 digs, 25
service aces and 22 blocks… Posted a season-high
45 assists, 10 digs and seven blocks against Mt.
San Antonio College… Also had 38 assists against
South Florida Community College, as well as 36
assists, seven digs, four blocks and four
service aces against East Los Angeles College…
Recorded 34 assists and nine digs against Diablo
Valley College…..
Foshay Learning Center:
Played on the Starling City of Los Angeles and
Southern California Volleyball Club teams…
Helped her team win the City championship in the
Small School Division as a senior… Was also
voted the Small Schools Player of the Year… As a
junior, they advanced to the City championship
game and finished the season as the #7-ranked
player in the division… Named 1st
Team All-Crosstown League two seasons in a row…
Voted her team’s Most Valuable Player four years
in a row… Also spent a year on the soccer team…
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when her team defeated
L.A.C.E.S. in the semi-finals to face Elizabeth
Learning Center in the finals… Is working on a
minor in criminal justice… Would like to
transfer to either Cal State Los Angeles or Cal
State Northridge… Aspires to be a child
psychologist or police officer… Likes to sleep
in her spare time… Both parents played
volleyball, as do all of her siblings… Has five
siblings – Marysol (32), Juan (28), Rosalin
(28), Ana (24) and Antonio (17)… Nicknamed
“Lupe”… Is the daughter of Ramon and Maria
Garcia… Born in Los Angeles, CA on June 18,
1992….. |
