Cerritos Volleyball (2010): Served as a red-shirt…..

Cerritos HS: Played on the SoCal Dream Basketball club team… Her volleyball team advanced to the finals of the State Regional Playoffs after reaching the championship game of the CIF Championships… They also won the Suburban League title her senior year, while she was named their Most Valuable Player as a junior… Earned the Defensive Blockers Award as a senior… Was a Scholar-Athlete as a freshman and was named the Most Valuable Player and Co-Captain on the basketball team… Spent two years on the volleyball team and three on the basketball team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she recorded 10 solo blocks against La Mirada High as a junior and when the team advanced past the 2^nd Round of the CIF Playoffs… Comes from a family where everyone plays sports, including her cousin Tyrone Taylor, who played on the Falcon football team… Likes to go shopping in her spare time… Nicknamed “JJ”… Has four siblings – Carrie (28), Xavier (14), Stevie (14) and Curtis (11)… Is the daughter of Curtis and Yvette Garrett… Born in Los Angeles, CA on April 19, 1993….
