With about eight minutes left in their Southern California Regional Playoff game, the Cerritos College women's basketball team looked to be in good shape on the road against Palomar College. The Falcons, the 18th, and last, seeded team in the playoffs, were leading the 15th-seeded Comets, 56-42 and it looked like the team was well on their way to advancing to the second round. However, Palomar (21-12) went on a 15-2 run over the next five minutes to close to within, 58-57. The Cerritos College women's basketball team embarked on their first tournament road trip this past weekend, and the team responded well by winning their first two games to advance to the championship game of the San Diego Mesa Tournament.
