Norwalk HS: Spent four years on the soccer team… Helped the team to a 6-2-9 record as a senior after they went 7-2-8 her junior year… Selected her team’s Captain as a junior and senior… Named All-Suburban League Honorable Mention as a junior and was her team’s Most Inspirational Player… Team posted a 4-2-10 record as a sophomore after losing all of their games her freshman season…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was her goal in a 1-0 win over Artesia High her senior year… Would like to transfer to Cal State Fullerton and study to be a physical therapist… Is the cousin of Mitzy Mendez, who played softball for the Falcons… Likes to go shopping in her spare time… Nicknamed “Vero”… Has three siblings – Eugene (17), Guadalupe (16) and Adrian (10)… Is the daughter of Jose and Maria Mendez… Born in Huntington Park, CA on June 20, 1988…..
