Starting her seventh year on
the coaching staff is former Cerritos
College player Ana Ramirez. Back in 2003,
Ramirez was a key member of two Falcon teams
that advanced to the Southern California
Regional Playoffs, and as a sophomore she
earned the team’s best Offensive Player and
was an All-South Coast Conference 2nd
Team selection. By the end of her Falcon
career, Ramirez had tied the school record
for the most assist in a career (14) – since
broken. In addition to her duties with the
Falcon team, Ramirez was given the
opportunity to coach the junior varsity
girl’s team at Cypress High School and led
them to a 10-0 record season and the league
championship in 2005. The following year,
she led them to a 7-3 season and a second
place league finish. From 2006-08, she
coached at La Serna High, spending one year
as an assistant on the junior varsity team
and serving as the head coach in 2008. She
had a combined coaching record of 17-1-1,
while they won the league championship both
season. Ramirez finished 2008 assisting the
varsity team during their run to the CIF
Championship. |
