05.21.09 - Four individuals and four
relays earn All-American times
After the best season in the
history of Cerritos College swimming, it was announced
that four of the relay teams and four individual times
earned All-American status. The top 15 times in the
country in each event earns All-American recognition.
The Falcons, who finished 11th at the state
championships this season, broke 13 of the team's 19
school records along the way. Freshman

school records, saw all of those times earn All-American

her best performance in the 100-yard butterfly for the
California Community College Swimming State
Championships at Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach on
Saturday. In addition to breaking her school record time
with a 57.29 performance, Peng finished second in the
state to help lead the Falcons to an 11th place finish

After the second day of the
California Community College Athletic Association
Women's Swimming Championships, the Cerritos College
women's team is in 11th place with 89 team points. They
earned their points thanks to three more school record
they broke, while two swimmers placed fifth in their
respective races. The final day of the state
championships will take place at the Belmont Plaza Pool
with the Falcons competing in three individual races and

records
For the Cerritos College
women's swimming team, the first day of the California
Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State
Championships at Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach didn't
result in any team points. But in two of the three
events that the Falcons were involved in, school records
were broken. The team will look to get on the scoreboard
on Friday, which is the second day of the three-day

04.21.09 - Falcons advance three
swimmers and four relay teams
The Cerritos College women's
swimming team, champions of the South Coast Conference,
have advanced three individual swimmers and four relay
teams to the state championships, which will take place
at the Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach on April 23-25.
All three individuals will compete in three events each,
while two of them will compete in all four relay races,

04.18.09 - Cerritos wins first
conference championship
Riding the heels of the
school's first water polo championship from earlier in
the year, the Cerritos College women's swimming team
captured their first South Coast Conference swimming
championship on Saturday at Chaffey College. The
Falcons, who went 7-0 in conference meets, compiled 666
team points and narrowly beat Mt. San Antonio College,
who finished in second place with 655 points. Cerritos
will be represented by a large contingent at the state
championships, which will take place this Thursday
through Saturday at Long Beach City College. The top 16
times in the state each event advance to the state

04.04.09 - Four records broken at
Pasadena Invitational
The Cerritos College women's
swimming team is tuning up for their toughest
competition of the season and are responding by breaking
records. The Falcons, who placed second in the 17-team
Pasadena Invitational over the weekend by compiling
586.5 team points, broke four records along the way and
were .01 second away from tying another. Over the course

03.27.09 - Falcons win 14 events at
conference meet
With their 90-40 South Coast
Conference win at Chaffey College on Friday afternoon,
the Cerritos College women's swimming team concluded
their conference season with a perfect 7-0 record. It
marks the first time in the program's history that they
went undefeated in SCC action. The team will now compete
in the Pasadena Invitational this weekend starting on

03.20.09 - Trio wins three events each
in conference victory
The Cerritos College women's
swimming team improved their South Coast Conference
record to 6-0 after defeating host El Camino College
(97-25) and Rio Hondo College (110-10) on Friday
afternoon. The Falcons close out their conference
regular season on Friday when they travel to Chaffey

03.13.09 - Cerritos takes another
three-way conference meet
For the second week in a row,
the Cerritos College women's swimming team swept a
three-way South Coast Conference meet. The Falcons (4-0)
defeated host Long Beach City College, 84-43 and Los
Angeles Trade-Tech College, 110-12 on Friday. The team
will now travel to El Camino College on Friday for
another 2:30 p.m. conference meet against the host

03.09.09 - Natalie Peng named state's
Athlete of the Month
After the first
three meets of the season, Cerritos College freshman
swimmer
Natalie
Peng (Cerritos HS) has
already been involved in breaking six school
records. As an individual, she has obliterated
the old school record in the 50-yard butterfly
and in the 100-yard butterfly, which were both
set by Tammy Ferris in 1982, while she has
been a part of four relay teams that have set
new records. As a result, Peng was named the
California Community College Athletic
Association (CCCAA) Female Athlete of the Month
for February.
In the 50-yard
butterfly, Peng has been beating the competition
by at least three seconds and set the new school
record of 26.61 at the Golden West Sprint Meet.
She broke the 100-yard butterfly in the same
meet, posting a time of 58.11, in which her
closest competition was more than three seconds
behind. In addition, Peng has been a part of
record-breaking teams in the 200-yard freestyle
(1:44.14), 400-yard freestyle (3:47.89),
200-yard medley relay (1:56.48) and 400-yard
medley relay (4:17.50) races. Peng opened the
season by winning the Waterman Pentathlon
beating out 127 other swimmers based on
cumulative time in five events (which she won
two and came in second in another)...[more]
02.27.09 - Falcons sweep three-way
meet
It wouldn't be a Cerritos
College swimming meet without at least one record being
broken. On Friday, the Falcons competed in a South Coast
Conference three-way meet and recorded wins over host
Pasadena City College (82-45) and Mt. San Antonio
College, 80-50. Along the way, one more school record
was broken, just two weeks after it was set. The Falcons
will now compete in another conference three-way meet on
Friday at 2:30 p.m. when they travel to Long Beach City
College, with Los Angeles Trade-Tech College joining

02.20.09 - More records broken at
Golden West
Although the Cerritos College
women's swimming team has competed in just two meets
this season, eight records have already been broken,
including two that were broken in the first meet of the
season. The Falcons compiled 1435.5 team points in the
16 events at the Golden West Sprint Meet on Friday to
win the competition, while five records were broken on
the day. The team will now open South Coast Conference
competition on Friday when they travel to Pasadena City
College to face the Lancers and Mt. San Antonio College

02.07.09 - Five school records fall in
first meet
The Cerritos College women's
swimming team opened the 2009 season by breaking five
school records, as they won the Waterman Festival Relays
at Palomar College over the weekend. Three of the
records broken were individual races, while two were
relay races. The Falcons won the event with 592 team
points, while San Diego Mesa College came in second
place with 557 points out of the seven teams involved.
The team will now compete in the South Coast Conference
Pentathlon on Friday at Chaffey College...[more]

All-American honors
After qualifying for the state
championships, a pair of Cerritos College women's
swimmers have earned All-American honors for their
