Cerritos Swimming (2008): Competed in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard IM, 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, 200-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay…..

Cerritos Water Polo (2008): Was a member of the state championship water polo team this past season… Named 2^nd Team All-South Coast Conference… Appeared in 32 games and scored 16 goals, along with 16 assists and 30 steals… Scored a goal in the state championship game against Long Beach City College… Scored a season-high three goals and matched her season-high with two steals against Cuesta College… Had two steals in five other games… Recorded a season-high three assists against Chaffey College…..

Cerritos Water Polo (2007): Named 2^nd Team All-South Coast Conference… Played in 31 games and scored 29 goals with 12 assists and a team-high 73 steals… Her 73 steals were the fifth most in a season in school history… Scored a season-high three goals and five steals against Citrus College… Matched her season-high in goals in a game against Chaffey College… Also had five steals against Ventura College and picked up four in eight other games… Had a season-high three assists against Rio Hondo College…..

Montebello HS: Spent four years on the swimming and water polo teams… Specialized in the 100-yard freestyle on the swim team… Won the Almont League championship in the 100-yard freestyle as a sophomore after winning the 200-yard freestyle her freshman season… Led the team to four undefeated league titles… Helped the water polo team advance to the CIF championship game her junior and senior seasons… Team went undefeated in league play all four years and won the championship… Was coached by current Falcon water polo and swimming coach Sergio Macias…..

Personal: Would like to transfer to either Cal State Long Beach or the University of Hawaii and study to be a kindergarten teacher… Is working on a minor in economics… Her brother Erick (27) was on the volleyball and basketball teams in high school, while her other brother Sergio (17) is currently on the water polo and swimming teams at Cathedral High… Likes to watch TV, swim and eat in her spare time… Is the daughter of Sergio and Maria Vega… Born in Boyle Heights, CA on February 27, 1989…..
