For the second
week in a row, the Cerritos College women's swimming
team swept a three-way South Coast Conference meet.
The Falcons (4-0) defeated host Long Beach City
College, 84-43 and Los Angeles Trade-Tech College,
110-12 on Friday. The team will now travel to El
Camino College on Friday for another 2:30 p.m.
conference meet against the host Warriors and Rio
Hondo College.
In winning the
meet, the Falcons also set three more school
records, which means that 10 of the school's 19
individual and relay records have been broken this
year alone.
Breaking her own
record of 26.61 in the 50-yard butterfly, freshman
Natalie Peng (Cerritos HS)
turned in a time of 26.60 to win the event. Freshman

Kimura (Los Altos HS), she
broke the year-old record time of 11:44.96 set by

was over a minute behind Kimura's time.

of her competition in the 500-yard freestyle, as she
turned in a winning time of 5:45.53, while freshman
