Cerritos Swimming (2010):
Named All-American in the 400-yard medley relay,
as the team set a new school record with a time
of 4:07.85 and came in eighth place at the State
Championships… Placed third at the South Coast
Conference Championships in the 100-yard
breaststroke (1:10.33), fourth in the 50-yard
breaststroke (33.15) and seventh in the 200-yard
IM (2:28.21)… Also competed in the 50-yard
butterfly (31.57), 50-yard backstroke (36.05),
50-yard freestyle (29.53)…..
Cerritos Water Polo (2010):
Appeared in 29 games and scored 26 goals, along
with 33 assists and 26 steals… Finishes her
career 15th in career goals scored,
while her 33 helpers is the third most in school
history… Scored a season-high three goals six
times, which included three goals, three assists
and a steal against Cuesta College… Posted a
season-high four assists against Palomar
College, Orange Coast College and El Camino
College… Added three steals in the games against
Palomar and Orange Coast… Also had three steals
against Rio Hondo College and Long Beach City
College…..
Cerritos Water Polo (2009):
Played in 27 games and posted 31 goals, with 15
assists and 33 steals… Scored a season-high four
goals against Chaffey College… Had three goals,
an assist and a season-high four steals against
Cuesta College, while she posted three goals and
two steals against Citrus College… Also had
three steals in two other games…..
El Rancho HS:
Was named the school’s Athlete of the Year as a
senior… Selected All-Area as a swimmer her
senior year after coming in second place in the
Del Rio League Championships in the breaststroke
and third in the 200-yard IM… Voted the team’s
Most Improved Swimmer as a freshman and
sophomore….. Named 1st Team All-Del
Rio League and 2nd Team All-CIF in
water polo as a senior… Voted the water polo
team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and was
selected 2nd Team all-league as a
junior…
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when she posted her
personal best time in the 100-yard breaststroke
in the conference championships… Would like to
transfer to Cal State Long Beach and aspires to
be an elementary school teacher… Likes to work
out in her spare time… Has three siblings –
Melissa (23), Melody (13) and Mia (9)… Is the
daughter of David and Josie Carbajal… Born in
Bellflower, CA on July 8, 1991….. |
