For the first time in three seasons, the Cerritos College women’s tennis team did not win the South Coast Conference championship. After two consecutive undefeated conference seasons, the Falcons were supplanted by El Camino College, who posted a 5-2 win over Cerritos in their conference finale on Tuesday. The Cerritos College women’s tennis team took advantage of a short-handed Cypress College team, as they recorded a 5-4 non-conference road win on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons earned two of their team points on defaults, as the Chargers had just five players in uniform. With the win, the Falcons improved to 8-4 overall and will now close out the South Coast Conference season on Tuesday, as they travel to El Camino College for a 2:00 p.m. contest. The Cerritos College women’s tennis team held onto second place in the South Coast Conference after their 7-0 victory over Mt. San Antonio College on Tuesday.
