The start of the South Coast
Conference may have resulted in a convincing
7-1 win at Marymount College on Tuesday
afternoon. But it was also the continuation
of a winning streak the Falcons hope to
maintain as they get deeper into conference
play. With the victory, the Falcons are now
3-2 overall after an 0-2 start and will look
to run their winning streak to four matches
when they host Long Beach City at 2:00 p.m.
on Thursday.
Although
they have struggled a bit at the top, the
remainder of the team has been consistent,
as have the doubles pairings. In the win
over the Mariners, the second through fifth
singles matches were all 6-1, 6-0 Falcon
victories, while the team received default
wins at #6 singles an #3 doubles.
Freshman
Sonia Gutierrez (Norwalk HS),
