The Cerritos College women’s tennis team, champions of the South Coast Conference for the third time in the last four years, will open the first round of the Southern California Regional Team Playoffs at Cuesta College on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. The Falcons (15-4), seeded #7 in the playoffs, face the #2-seeded Cougars (15-0), who are undefeated this season and won the Western State Conference championship.

    Sophomore Annika You (John Marshall HS/Cal Poly Pomona), ranked #8 in Southern California and the SCC singles runner-up, will more than likely face #3-ranked Chloe Redman in her singles match, while Devin Marigold is also ranked #15 in SoCal for the Cougars. In doubles play, You and sophomore teammate Sonia Gutierrez (Norwalk HS), who were the conference runner-up, will square off against Redman and Jamie Burden, who are ranked #8. You and Gutierrez are currently ranked #4 in Southern California.
