Due to 60-mile an
hour winds, the Cerritos College women's tennis
match at Cuesta College in the first round of the
Southern California Regional Playoffs has been
postponed until next Monday at Cuesta. The Falcons,
seeded #7 in the playoffs, had just started their
match against the #2-seeded Cougars when the winds
blew through. According to the rules, when winds
reach a level that's considered dangerous to the
players, the match is required to be halted.
Cerritos (12-3) is
looking to avenge a loss to Cuesta in last year's
playoffs. The match will be played at Cuesta College
at 2:00 p.m. next Monday. The winner advances to the
Southern California semi-finals the following day.
