| Was a member of the state
championship team last season… Advanced to the
Southern California Championships in the shot
put and placed ninth… Came in third place in the
South Coast Championships in the hammer, javelin
and shot put… Turned in personal best distances
in the shot put (36’ 9”), javelin (97’ 5”) and
hammer (120’ 3”)… Was a four-time Most Valuable
Thrower on the track team in high school… Team
won the Del Rio League championship all four
seasons… Advanced to the CIF Finals all four
seasons… Placed second in the CIF Championships
in the shot put as a junior and senior… Won the
league title both seasons and was an All-Area
selection… Spent four years on the track and
basketball teams… Led her basketball team in
rebounding as a junior and senior after being
named their Most Improved Player as a sophomore…
Most memorable moment was placing second in the
CIF Championships her senior year… Would like to
transfer to either UCLA or Cal State Long Beach
and study to be a sports therapist… Father
played basketball in high school… Likes to cook,
write poems and play basketball in her spare
time… Has three brothers and three sisters…
Nicknamed “Nash”… Is the daughter of Kevin and
Thyra Griffin… Born in Los Angeles, CA on April
27, 1987….. |
