Cerritos Cross Country (2007):
Helped the Falcons to a 4th place
finish in the State Championships by finishing
42nd overall with a time of 19:53,
which was her best time of the season… Her time
of 20:15 placed her 44th overall at
the Southern California Championships, which
helped the team come in fifth place overall…
That same clocking was good enough to land her
in 10th place in the South Coast
Conference Champions, with the team finishing in
second place… Came in 24th place at
the Santa Barbara Invitational, while she
finished in 28th place at the Orange
Coast Classic…..
Santa Fe HS:
Was a three-sport athlete… Spent four years on
the track and field team, three on the cross
country and two on the basketball team…
Qualified for the CIF for three seasons in track
and field, while the basketball team advanced to
the CIF playoffs three times… Earned the Dale
Winder Award in track for two seasons… Was
coached on the basketball team by former
Cerritos assistant coach Matt Zamora…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when she took the lead
on the third leg of the 4x400 relay and helped
the team come in first place… Would like to
transfer to UC Irvine and aspires to be a
teacher… Likes to hang out with friends in her
spare time… Nicknamed “Sticks”… Is the daughter
of Gary and Arlene Apodaca… Born in Paramount,
CA on June 5, 1989….. |
