Paramount HS:
As a senior, she won the Masters Meet, CIF and
San Gabriel Valley League championship in the
shot put… Also came in seventh place at the
state championships and earned the Pirate
Athlete of the Year and Queen of the Ring Award…
Selected the MVP of the field events, as she
broke her own school record with a distance of
44’ ½”… Won the league title in the shot put
four years in a row and was a three-time
Press Telegram Dream Team selection… Also
advanced to the Masters Meet twice and the CIF
Finals all four years… Won the CIF championship
as a junior, while picking up the Pirate of the
Year award… Was the MVP of field events her
sophomore season and earned the school’s Female
Sophomore Athlete of the Year… Was the Female
Freshman Athlete of the Year and the team’s
Rookie of the Year… Also played on the freshman
football team her freshman season…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when she won the
Master Meet as a senior and broke the school’s
shot put record… Is also working on a minor in
criminal justice and would like to transfer to a
strong academic school with a good throws coach…
Aspires to be a clinical psychologist… Likes to
spend time with her family… Nicknamed “Big Steph”…
Has seven siblings – Daniel (24), Cardel (22),
Nura (22), Manu (21), Ruby (15) and George (14)…
