Cerritos Track & Field (2008): Helped the team win the state championship by winning the state title in the triple jump and placing second in the long jump… Set the school record in the triple jump at 40’ 1½”, while her distance of 18’ 4¼” in the long jump is tied for the second best in school history… Also won the triple jump in the Southern California and South Coast Conference Championships… Named 1^st Team All-SCC in the triple jump… Placed 10^th in the Southern California Heptathlon Championships… Also competed in the 200 meters (27.11), 400 meters (1:04.07), 800 meters (3:13.75), 100-meter hurdles (15.73), high jump (4’ 5”), shot put (32’ 2”) and javelin (113”)…..

Lynwood HS: Did not compete in track and field her senior year and was injured her junior season… Posted personal best distances in the triple jump (39’ 2”) and long jump (19’ 2”), along with running the 100 meters (12.0) and 200 meters (24.86) as a sophomore… Was also on the basketball team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was advancing to the state meet as a sophomore… Would like to transfer to UCLA, USC, Arizona State University or the University of Texas… Aspires to be a firefighter… Likes to play tennis, basketball, read and write in her spare time… Nicknamed “JB”… Has two siblings – Christian (16) and Jeffrey (4)… Is the daughter of Rickey Barfield and Roberta Smith… Born in Bellflower, CA on June 19, 1989…..
