Cerritos Track & Field (2008): Was a member of the state championship track and field team… Placed third in the state championships in the 10,000 meters and fifth in the 5000 meters… Team also won the Southern California Championship and the South Coast Conference Championship… Won the conference title in the 10,000 meters… Has the third-fastest time in school history in the 5000 meters (8:33.63) and 10,000 meters (38.46:62)…..

Cerritos Cross Country (2008): Named All-Southern California and All-South Coast Conference… Placed 26^th at the State Championships with a time of 19:02.26, while she turned in a time of 18:47.74 at the Southern California Championships, good for 17^th place… Helped the team win the conference championship with a time of 19:13, good for third place in the SCC finals… Placed 11^th at the Santa Barbara Invitational with a time of 19:45, while a time of 19:38 put her in 24^th place at the Bakersfield Invitational… Posted a time of 20:04.33 at the Orange Coast Classic, good for eighth place, while a time of 19:20 put her in ninth place in the Fresno Invitational…..

Cerritos Cross Country (2007): Helped the Falcons to a 4^th place finish in the State Championships by leading the team with a 34^th place finish with a time of 19:40… Her time of 19:24, which was her best time of the year, placed her 14^th overall at the Southern California Championships, which helped the team come in fifth place overall… She earned 1^st Team All-South Coast Conference honors with that same time and a fourth place showing in the South Coast Conference Champions, with the team finishing in second place… Was the first Falcon runner to finish in six meets during the season, including the Santa Barbara Invitational, Southern California Preview Meet and the Cal State Fullerton Invitational…..

Fountain Valley HS: Spent four years on the track and field team, along with three on the cross country and one on the basketball teams… Helped her team win the CIF Championship her junior year and three Sunset League championships… Earned three Coaches Awards… Posted a personal best time of 18:08 as a senior on the cross country team… Advanced to the state championships on the track team as a senior after they won the CIF Championship her junior season…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she turned in a time of 18:08 at the Woodbridge Invitational… Would like to transfer to Western State College in Colorado… Likes to go snowboarding and play ultimate Frisbee in her spare time… Is the daughter of Don and Maureen Simpson… Born in Fountain Valley, CA on October 19, 1988…..
