Sunny Hills HS: Named her team’s Most Valuable Player and Team Captain as a senior… Also the team captain her junior year when they won the Freeway League championship… Spent four years on the swimming team… Was coached by former Cerritos College water polo player Roy Contreras… Reached the CIF Championships in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.82) her senior and junior years… Advanced to the CIF Master Meet finals in a relay race her sophomore year, while she was a Division II CIF Finalist in the 500-yard freestyle as a freshman…..
