12, the
Cerritos
College
Board of
Trustees
recognized
women's
water
polo
assistant
coach
Brenda
Villa
for her
accomplishments
with the
Olympic
Women's
Water
Polo
team, as
they won
a silver
media at
the
Beijing
Games in
July.
Villa,
in her
fourth
season
as an
assistant
coach,
has now
been a
part of
two
silver
and one
bronze
medal
teams in
the
Olympics.
Villa
and the
rest of
the
Falcons
will be
competing
in the
state
championships
for the
first
time in
the
program's
history
this
Thursday
through
Saturday
at
Merced
College.
Cerritos
(28-3),
won the
South
Coast
Conference
championship,
placed
third in
the
Southern
California
Regional
Playoffs
and put
together
a
school-record
22-game
winning
streak
this
season.

Polo
