team
opened
South
Coast
Conference
play at
home on
Wednesday
against
El
Camino
College
and
proceeded
to post
a 21-4
victory.
The
Falcons
(7-2)
will now
face a
tough
Chaffey
College
team
next
Wednesday
at 4:15
p.m. in
the
Falcon
Pool.
The
lopsided
win
allowed
the
Falcons
to mix
in the
majority
of the
team and
they
responded
with a
balanced
scoring
attack.
In the
match,
10
different
players
scored,
as the
team
opened
up a 7-0
lead in
the
first
quarter.
By
halftime
it was
11-3 and
the team
opened
their
lead
even
wider in
the
third,
when
they
outscored
the
Warriors,
6-1.
Cerritos
finished
with 25
steals,
as
freshman
goalkeeper
Mandy
Perez
(Montebello
HS)
had a
team-high
five,
along
with
four
saves.
Freshman
Kristina
Zalewski
(Western
HS)
finished
with
three
steals.
