Cerritos Water Polo (2008):
Named 1st Team All-South Coast
Conference… Appeared in 34 games and finished
fourth on the team with 40 goals… Also added 10
assists and 23 steals… Scored a season-high five
goals against Cuesta College and scored four
goals against both Citrus College and El Camino
College… Had five other two-goal games… Scored
two goals with a season-high four steals in the
state semi-final game and matched her steals
total in the opening round game against American
River College…
Cerritos Swimming (2009):
Placed fifth in the South Coast Conference
Championship in both the 50-yard backstroke
(31.04) and 100-yard backstroke (1:06.27)… Also
came in ninth place in the 50-yard butterfly
(29.76)… In addition, she competed in the
100-yard butterfly, 100-yard IM, 200-yard IM and
100-yard butterfly during the season…..
Downey HS:
Selected her water polo team’s Most Valuable
Player as a senior… Helped her team to
back-to-back CIF Championships her freshman and
sophomore years… Team also won three straight
San Gabriel Valley League titles… Named
all-league three seasons in a row, while earning
2nd Team All-CIF honors as a
sophomore and 3rd Team All-CIF
recognition her freshman year... Selected to the
Press Telegram Dream Team twice… Spent
four years on the water polo and swimming
teams…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was defeating El Segundo
High in the CIF Championships her sophomore year
with her sister Vivian on the team… Her sister
Vivian (21) and brother Jose (22) were members
of the Falcon water polo and swimming teams…
Would like to transfer to the Universidad
Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico D.F. or
UCLA… Is the daughter of Jorge and Maria
Alejandra Aguirre… Born in Torrance, CA on
September 19, 1990….. |
