MAJOR: HISTORY

Marina HS: Spent three seasons on the wrestling team… Placed third in the Sunset League as a senior, while posting a 23-11 record… Earned the Stacker Club Award… As a junior, he qualified for the CIF Championships after coming in second place in the league championships… Earned the team’s Most Improved Wrestler and Most Promising Junior Awards… Also picked up the Chip Crutchfield Award, which is the highest awarded given out by the team… Was the team’s Most Improved Wrestler as a sophomore and posted a 13-13 record… Placed third in the league championships as a freshman and earned the Most Improved Wrestler Award… Also spent two seasons on the track and field team and competed in four events…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he ran a leg of the shuttle hurdles team that set a new school record at the Arcadia Nationals and when he posted a time of 15.7 in the 110-yard hurdles against Newport Harbor High… Is working on a minor in theatre and would like to transfer to UCLA… Is studying to be either a history teacher or a filmmaker… All three of his brothers competed in sports in high school… Likes to make films in his spare time… Has five siblings – Willie III (23), Torion (21), Tarik (14), Erin (10) and Raven (5)… Is the son of Willie Rayford and Linda Irving… Born in Long Beach, CA on July 13, 1989…..
