Cerritos (2007): Was an All-American… Went 26-9 at 141 pounds and placed fourth in the State Championships… Also won the Southern California Championship and was a 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection… Placed second at the Sacramento City Tournament and the San Francisco State Tournament… Finished third at the Cerritos Tournament…..

Marina HS: Qualified for the state championships as a junior and senior… Posted a 51-6 record with 23 pins as a senior… Placed third and the Five Counties Tournament…..Was selected as his school’s MVP Scholar-Athlete twice and was a two-time team captain… Named the team’s Most Improved Wrestler as a sophomore and the Most Valuable Freshman…..

Personal: Would like to transfer to the University of Minnesota and aspires to be a physical therapist and wrestling coach… Likes to read and go to the beach in his spare time… Nicknamed “Scrappy”… Has three siblings – Vikki (24), Cole (8) and Becky (6)… Is the son of Matt Koehnlein and Judy Demers… Born in Norwalk, CA on March 19, 1988…..
