Cerritos (2008): Competed at 149 pounds and went 11-14 on the year… Placed 6^th at the Southern California Championships and would have advanced to the state tournament if he had defeated Alfredo Solis of Palomar College in the fifth place match... Was defeated, 11-9… Went 2-2 at the San Francisco State Tournament and Cuesta Tournament… Also competed in the West Valley Tournament, Modesto Tournament and Cerritos Tournament…..

Loara HS: Helped his team win the CIF Duals championship as a senior… Finished second in the CIF Championships at 135 pounds after winning the championship his junior year at 125 pounds… Missed his sophomore year due to an injury… Was also on the football team for three years…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when his team won the CIF Championship… His brother Kent will be his teammate on the team this year… Has another sibling – Alex (31)… Is the son of Elisa Tran… Born in Riverside, CA on April 12, 1988…..
