A new addition to the
Cerritos
College athletic training staff, Brian Cable was hired as a trainer
in July, 2000.
Brian earned his Bachelor’s Degree from
California
State University, Long Beach in December 1995 from the Department of
Kinesiology and Physical Education. He spent two years working as a
student athletic trainer at the school including travel assignments
with the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Women’s Softball
teams. Brian completed the requirements of the student athletic
trainer curriculum program in June 1996 and was certified by the
National Athletic Trainers Association in February 1997. While at
CSULB, he served on the campus’ Student Health Committee, was
involved in various clubs and was the founder and inaugural
President of the Sports Medicine Club.
After receiving his NATA certification, Brian spent two
years working at
Western
High School in Anaheim, CA as the head athletic trainer. After the
two years Brian moved to the community college ranks where he spent
one year working at Santa Ana College. Brian has also spent one year
working professional soccer with the Orange County Waves of the
A-League as their Head Athletic Trainer before joining the Falcons
in July 2000.
Brian and his wife, Rosan, live in Garden Grove with their
four young boys. Rosan teaches English at a junior high school in
Garden Grove.
