Mandatory New Student Orientation

All newly admitted F-1 visa international students are required to attend the Mandatory New Student Orientation with the Office of International Student Services. You will receive important information regarding the U.S. and California education systems, academic majors, the registration procedure, as well as the transfer process. During the orientation you will also learn about F-1 visa regulations, legal employment, travel and re-entry, medical insurance, among other topics. This orientation is an excellent way for new international students to meet other students, take a campus tour, become acclimated with the campus and student services, as well as meeting international staff and faculty members. 

Before attending orientation, please review the power point presentations below in preparation for signing the F-1 Student Agreement.

During the Check-In process you will need to bring the following documents:

  • I-20 Issued by Cerritos College Office of International Student Services
  • Passport
  • F-1 Visa
  • Electronic Copy of I-94 Arrival/Departure Record
