Final Paper Worksheet

        The purpose here is to provide you a guideline for developing your final paper. Before you develop these points, be sure to have a clear understanding of your audience.  Also, check the Final Discussion.

    1. Present the problem you are addressing. Use statistics, authoritative sources, and anecdotes.

    2. What are the causes of the problem? Be specific and be sure to offer evidence.

    3. What are the consequences for failing to solve the problem?

    4. What is your solution? How do you propose to implement your solution?

    5. What arguments are there against your stand on the issue? Be sure to offer evidence in support of these arguments.

    6. How do you respond to those arguments? Do you accommodate them or refute them?

    7. Are there any alternative solutions? If so, what are their advantages and disadvantages?

    8. After considering all these matters, again, make a pitch for your solution and its advantages.
