Meeting with Professor Duff to talk about research ideas

You must plan on meeting with Dr. Duff at least once before our scheduled library fieldtrip. This will count as an assignment and you do not want to leave it until the last minute. The purpose of this meeting is to allow us to spend some time together brainstorming your research ideas and to help you develop your idea into a testable hypothesis for the final project. You will be required to meet with me during office hours or tutorial; keep in mind however, that I cannot make appointments for these hours, availability is based on first come first serve. Even if you wait until the last minute, if I have another student in my office I may not be able to accommodate you. Please come prepared; the more prepared you are the more productive our meeting will be. You are welcome to come with other students, but each individual student must have this form completed. I also encourage you to come often and chat about your research ideas throughout the semester. Remember you can also meet with your classroom assistants.

Please complete (type out) before coming to see me:

  1. Are there any other variables that should be examined?
