Listen to our free podcast audio program PsychMentors! This program is produced by Dr. Kimberley J. Duff, Professor of Psychology at Cerritos College. Episodes provide information about psychology, interviews with students, alumni, researchers, and counselors who share their experience in the field of psychology.

         What is a podcast?          

A podcast is a reference to Apple's MP3 player, Ipod, but can be accessed by any device that plays MP3s (i.e., MP3 Player, cell phone, computer). Podcasts can be downloaded on the Web or through Apple's iTunes, which is available for free, for both Mac and PC. They are intended to be downloaded and listened to on the go, but can also be listened to directly on your desktop computer, so no extra hardware is necessary.

                        What are our podcasts about?

PsychMentors podcasts were developed by Kimberley J. Duff, Ph.D. and are intended for all students interested in psychology. The ideas for the topics of the podcast came from years of discussion with students in psychology who sought out mentorship from faculty and senior students to assist them with academic and career decisions. Each episode showcases different guests and topics related to psychology as a major, research experience, the mental health field, funding and opportunities in psychology, conference attendance and other general issues.

 

                        How do I listen to the podcasts?

Our podcasts are free and can be accessed three different ways. The most convenient is to get a free subscription to PsychMentors using Apple's iTunes software. You can set your preferences to download new episodes automatically, as they become available. If you have iTunes, click below to subscribe for free. Once you have iTunes, you can either search for the podcast by name or Kimberley Duff or you can click on the following link to access it directly in iTunes.
