Course Description:  This course is an overview of theory and research on human communication and is designed to improve students’ communication skills in a variety of communication contexts.  Skill practices, journals, communication analyses paper, and group oral presentation are required.

 Course Goals: This course is designed . . .
    1. to overview theory and research on interpersonal communication,
    2. to help students understand their implicit theories of interpersonal
        communication and how they affect their communication, and
    3. to provide the opportunity for students to improve their interpersonal
        communication skills.

Experiential Learning: This is a skills-based, experiential course.  Experiential learning requires active participation in the class.  To a large extent, you will get out of the class what you put into it.
