The learning community concept at Cerritos College benefits students and faculty alike.

A primary goal of this project is student academic success. The success is evident through the acquisition of college readiness skills, retention, intellectual grown and college transfer.

Participants in our learning communities are exposed to a comprehensive learning experience through cultural, social, and intellectual experiences. To measure success, we assess students' learning process both at the beginning and end of the semester; this evaluation uses qualitative and quantitative measures to discover the students' intellectual and social growth. The best assessment of success comes from students' testimonials.
