November 4, 2001

Selecting the 2002 U.S. 100K Team

The United States competes in the 100K World Challenge every year represented by a team of six men and six women ultrarunners. The annual 100K World Challenge race is the one international venue at which USA Track & Field, running’s national governing body in the United States, fields an ultra team. The team that represents the U.S. each year at the 100K World Challenge is selected by USA Track & Field's Mountain, Ultra, Trail (MUT) Running Council, which was established to help USA Track & Field understand and manage ultrarunning issues and opportunities.

2002 U.S. 100K Team Selection Procedures
