Julie Bryan: MUT Council Member and Teva US Mountain Team Athlete

June 2003

Julie Bryan (Jackson Hole, WY) 34, works as the Marketing Director and Associate to the Broker at Coldwell Banker, The Real Estate Company.  Bryan has been on the 2001 and 2002 Teva US Mountain Running Teams finishing solidly as the second US runner for the team in both years.  Bryan holds the women's record at all three ski areas around Jackson as well as for the Barr Mountain Trail Race in Colorado. The talented Bryan has stretched into ultra distance running and won the 2002 Pemberton 50K trail race and has succeeded in traditional road racing with a win at the 2003 Lost Dutchman 10K in Apache Junction AZ.  In June 2002 while training for the 2002 Teva US Mountain Running Team, Bryan’s truck hatch shattered severing the tendons in her right arm and cracking her front teeth.  She completed the racing season up until the World Championships in a full arm cast, and false front teeth.  Bryan is a mountain representative to the USATF Mountain, Ultra, and Trail Running Council.
