EBSCOHost- Magazine and journal articles EbscoHost is an Internet resource used to access the following databases:

  • MasterFILE Premier provides full-text for more than 2,000 periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, and much more. Full-text is also provided for more than 350 reference books, 84,000 biographies, 86,000 primary source documents and an Image Collection of 107,000 photos, maps and flags.

  • Health Source - Consumer Edition provides a collection of consumer health information, with information on health topics in the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source - Consumer Edition features full-text for nearly 150 journals. Entries from the Merriam-Webster Medical Desk Dictionary are also included.

  • Health Source Nursing/Academic Edition provides more than 550 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Entries from the Merriam-Webster Medical Desk Dictionary are also included.

  • Clinical Pharmacology provides access to up-to-date, concise and clinically relevant drug monographs for all U.S. prescription drugs, patient education fact sheets, hard-to-find herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new drugs. Patient education records are available in English and Spanish.

  • Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts Library provides Information Science & Technology Abstract (LISTA) indexes to more than 600 periodicals, books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Ethnic NewsWatch ProQuest is an internet resource used to access the following databases:
  • Ethnic NewsWatch is a multidisciplinary, full-text collection of the newspapers, magazines, and journals from ethnic, minority, and native presses. The collection provides a broad diversity of perspectives and viewpoints on current and historical topics. Searchable in both English and Spanish.
  • GenderWatch is a full-text database to publications that focus on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas. Publications include academic and scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, regional publications, books, booklets, government and non-governmental organization special reports.
  • National Newspapers 5 is a full-text collection of five national newspapers: Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.

  • Auto Repair Reference Center is a collection of Chilton Repair Manuals in e-books format. This collection contains Chilton Repair Manuals on domestic and imported vehicles from 1954 to the present. Approximately 23,000 vehicles are covered in this collection. Each manual includes detailed information and diagrams to repair and maintain a vehicle, plus wiring diagrams. In addition to the technical information, Auto Repair Reference Center includes a labor time guide and estimator, recall bulletins, and maintenance schedules. top>>

SIRS Knowledge Source GaleNet is an online reference service that provides access to the following databases:

  • Discovering Collection is a cross-curricular reference source for the core curriculum areas of Literature, History, Biography, Science, and Social Studies. Features biographies, topical overviews, critical analyses, plot summaries, events, and media elements into a single database.

  • Literature Resource Center - LRC provides access to biographies, bibliographies and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. LRC covers more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most studied authors.

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library and eBooks. Provides access to the content of reference sources in a database format for multidisciplinary research. The library’s current subscription includes the following eBook titles:
