The Databases EBSCOHost MasterFILE Premier http://www.cerritos.edu/library/e-resources.html EBSCO provides full text for over 1,730 periodicals covering a broad range of disciplines including the general sciences. In addition to the full text, this database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2,400 titles. EBSCO allows you to refine your search for peer-reviewed and full-text articles. Highwire A division of the Stanford University Libraries, HighWire Press hosts a large repository of peer-reviewed content, with 1065 journals and 4,460,110 full text articles from over 130 scholarly publishers. HighWire-hosted publishers have collectively made 1,802,428 articles free. Agricola The National Library of Agriculture’s online catalog provides access to bibliographic records, journal articles, book chapters, short reports, and reprints on agriculture including plants, crops, animals, and livestock. BioMed Central Online publisher of 181 peer-reviewed open access journals including BioMed Central research-only journals, other review journals that are editorially administered by groups of independent researchers, and journals that have printed versions or charge a subscription for their non-research content whilst still offering open access to their research content. Directory of Open Access Journals This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals in all subjects and languages. There are now 2858 journals in the directory. Currently FFT: Free Full Text Provides direct links to over 7000 scholarly periodicals which allow some or all of their online content to be viewed for free. The issues which are available for free are indicated for each title on the alphabetical periodical lists. The design of this site is optimized for users seeking specific articles for which they already have the citation. This site does not attempt to list all periodicals on the Internet, only those which offer free full-text content. Titles will be removed from this list if they cease to offer any free full-text content. PubMed PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 15 million citations for biomedical and life science articles back to the 1950’s. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles but not all are free. Free articles have a colored slash on the article icon. PubMed Central PubMed Central (PMC)
is the U.S. National Institutes of Health free digital
archive of biomedical and life sciences journal
literature. PMC offers free access to its contents and
contains over half a million articles, most of which
have a corresponding entry in PubMed.
